Can a concrete stain (such as Rustoleum or acid stain) cover epoxy and make it look uniform?
A contractor put down a dark gray epoxy on our outside concrete patio in various spots to cover up some texture (it was poured on the hottest, most humid day of the year) after it was sanded down. We’re concerned that the Rustoleum concrete stain (sandstone, which I believe is not an actual acid stain but a water-based stain) we planned to put down won’t actually cover the gray or make the whole thing look uniform. The mix is 2-3 different colors and will cover our other color variations, but we’re a little worried…
Any experience with this or advice???
Acid concrete stain vs. Latex concrete stain – Whats Best?
I have heard a few people say Acid staining is the best because it lasts longer but is it worth it’s 2x price over latex stain? If I keep the latex well sealed will it really matter? Does latex look different?
Concrete acid stain – How hard is it to do yourself?
Has anyone ever done the concrete acid stain? How hard is it to do yourself? How long does it take from start to finish? We are building a new house and thinking of having this done or doing it ourselves, but don’t know how difficult it would be. It does not look that hard but looks can be deceiving. Any tips?
